To See the World

by Matthew Tener Wade

To see the world as would the sun,
To be ever warm in cold of dark,
This would be a great adventure.
To speed through space 'til universe is done.

To see the world as would the sun,
To ever bring light and love to all,
This would make a most wonderful feeling.
To love through fire could indeed be fun.

To see the world as would the sun,
Forever alone in one's own heart,
This would certainly make many tears.
To travel with no destination, 'til all is done?

To see the world as would the sun,
To have so many dependent on you,
This would a most heavy burden be.
To burn all those who come but close?

To see the world as would the sun...
No, this would not be a sight for me.

How do you see the world, and how does the world see you?
